  • John R. Cook - Tv sound systemFlat screen TV sets have nice large HD screens but tiny little "tinney" speakers. Some television series also have very poor sound quality. And to top things off I suffer from hearing loss in one ear. So I have been relying on loud volumes and closed captioning in some cases to enjoy some programs. The Bose TV Sound System takes care of 90% of my concerns and I am very pleased with the results!
  • bluespike9651 - Wow!The tablet is worth the price; that's for sure! I can say that the shipping was superb in timing and also handling of the product. I depend on the Transformer Prime!
  • Neal C. Reynolds - A terrific and suspenseful dystopian young adult adventureYeah, there are similarities between this book and THE HUNGER GAMES. And yeah, there are dissimilarities. This is its own book with its own characters. Cia carries the story with her narration and the suspense coming from the fact that we don't know any more about what's going on than she does.

We start out with the contention that being chosen for the testing is a great honor and slowly become aware that it's a life or death challenge. The author does a great job on detailing each stage of the testing and in fleshing out each character.

Anyone who reads this will end up among all those eagerly awaiting the release of the sequel and the continuation of the story of the surviving characters. This is a great young adult novel, but it's also darn good reading for us older folks.
  • A. Lit Lover - The Best Thing I Have Ever Gotten for Myself! When I first heard about Amazon Kindle about a year ago, I didn't think much of it. Sure, it would be nice to have all my books with me, but $350 seemed like way too much for a 13 and a half year old to spend when all I do is babysit to make extra money. I know I will sound just like everyone else when I say this, but Oprah's segment on the Kindle caught my interest. I searched it on Amazon and instantly fell in love with it. Oprah was offering a $50 off promotion, so I ordered one, now that I had a steady income. When I first opened the box, I was fascinated by how sleek and perfect it was. Once I had bought my first book, I began reading, and fell in love with it all over again. I have bought myself many new things, but this was literally my favorite. Reading on it is such a treat, and I love being able to jump back and forth between books, anywhere. I realize that there are many complaints currently circulating, but I haven't had any problems with mine, and have no complaints. My mother loved mine so much, she decided to order herself one, and got the Kindle 2. I think it is great that Amazon added new features and fixed old ones, but I still think the original is the best. I highly recommend this to anyone and everyone, and am truly happy with mine.
  • C. hee "Sidergirl" - BIBLE of a premed student!I am an undergraduate student doing premedical studies and this is absolutely the BEST resource I have ever seen. If you're a premed student this book will be the Bible of your preparation and is a must have!
If you are a premed student and are browsing through other books about preparing for med school do not waste your time or money on ANY of them. This book has everything you need to know and more, all in one place. It is organized and easy to read and navigate directly to what you want to know.
It not only has a profile of each med school but info on the application process, mcat, financial aid, joint degrees and much more. It will answer questions you didn't even think of. No matter what stage you are at whether applying to med school or considering a career in medicine this book will help you. I've only had it for a few days and I've learned so much. Definitely worth the money.
